just found a tree with approx 15 green parrots with red beaks and they are parakeet sized but they are so high all I get are belly shots ,will they come down for bread or seeds or am I just going to be unlucky ?

Re: wild parrots

Sounds like you have some Ring-necked Parakeets there Cakey, they will eat anything so if they hang around a few nuts or berries might get them down. from what ive heard they can be quite noisy.

Re: wild parrots

They like the purple berries you get on some trees... we know this as we unwittingly parked our car under one of the trees when we were in Staines visiting family - came out the next morning to find the car absolutely *plastered* in purple bird poo! :|
