Midge Mayhem

I was fishing one day and on the bank was loads of midges.
I put my finger a few cm in front of the lens, half pressed, held it and put the camera under this lot.
The sky was far to bright so curves has been done in photoshop.
Now it looks more menacing. Looks like a scene out a early war film.

Re: Midge Mayhem

That's so cool I had the theme tune from The Battle of Britain popping into my head.

Re: Midge Mayhem

It's great. I commented on this when I was having a nosey at your Flickr yesterday.

PS

The cottage we stay in at Loch Sunart (right on the shore) is midgie hell on a biblical scale. I've been known to chuck my rod and run.

Re: Midge Mayhem

Thank you all for you comments

Phil. Can of tennets lol. As I did live up in Scotland I know how bad it can get.

20+ years ago I was on the isle of skye. We climbed up a hill/mountain to get a look at the outer hebrides. As we neared the top we was engulfed by flying ants. I was unreal how many there was. A swarm that I didn't think was going to end. Tee shirt went around my head to cover ears and nose, and I was looking through a crack in my fingers. We got to the top and lit a fire.
It was all worth it for the views I seen that day.
I wish I was into photography then.
