Grey seal

I took this while visiting the Isle of Skye and the seals had been fighting as it was mating season..We were told his wounds wouldn't bother him.

Re: Grey seal

My friend works with marine rescue in caithness and I am going up for a couple of weeks..hope to get some pics.

I used to go down to the slipway at Little Clett first thing in the morning and listen to their beautiful, mournful calls and watch the pups at play.

Beautiful creatures.

Re: Grey seal

They have a really spiritual quality that you can't explain grumps..
that sounds so rubbish but I used to sit for an hour or so every morning, just me and about 10 seals.

Total silence apart from them 'talking' and totally accepting of my presence.

A privilege.
