Re: Tobias - Switch Flip

Now please bear in mind I have no right or knowledge to comment on your photographic skills, can only give a gut reaction. And I am not sure about this one, not sure why but think it is the fisheye distortion that I find distracting, think the lighting is amazing.

Re: Tobias - Switch Flip

I think you have made too much of the foreground, and not enough of the skater. Also, there is an annoying red truck (or something like that) under the skater.

Crop out some of the foreground to make the skater the primary interest, might help this picture a bit.

Re: Tobias - Switch Flip

I dont mind the additional foreground too much - but I do agree that the red car and telegraph pole are major distractions. Great work on the lighting and the creative approach to the shot.

Re: Tobias - Switch Flip

The lighting is very effective, you seem to be a master at that. Have to agree re the red car and maybe a slight crop on the foreground. Had a look at one or two of the other pics similar to this and still think the snow boarder with the jet stream is the best!

Re: Tobias - Switch Flip

Thanks for the feedback guys!

I agree with the car and the pole, but in this genre you can't/shouldn't clone out things. And I don't like to remove or put in things that do/don't belong there in the first place.

I don't agree about the foreground though. Cause if I had cropped it in the bottom and to the right (as I guess you think I should) you wouldn't see enough of the landing, and that's really important that you see.

But I appreciate the critique! Too little of that on this site. So nice to finally hear something else than "oh, what a beautiful shot", cause that just doesn't help me get any better.
