Hi Sally, sorry if my comments came across other than intended, I had no intention of being a photo-snob. I was simply pointing out to JR you wouldn't have a feature he was writing about as it is only on the more upmarket Nikons. I have a lot of respect for the D40, I have a couple of friends with them and the results are brilliant. It's only six months since I upgraded from a 6MP Nikon D70s which is similar.
