Re: Joby Gorillapods at asda

Actually I thought these had got good write ups before now, Im only going to use it for my pan compact so weight shouldnt be a problem, although the main reason I bought it was so I could have the camera mounted in places in my truck that a tripod wouldnt go near, like grab handles and the like so I can have a go at some shots inside the cab whilst moving etc.. will have to see.

Re: Joby Gorillapods at asda

Would be fine for a compact but there a much cheaper alternatives for those. I wouldn't recommend it at all as a stand up tripod but maybe gripping something with a compact on top would work ok - I did try mine on trees and rocks to test it. It would probably take a DSL with prime lens ok - or maybe an entry level DSLR with lighter kit zoom. To be fair the next model up is DSLR zoom and that would probably be better suited to most people here who tend to use better and consequently heavier lens and cameras. Did you buy one?

Re: Joby Gorillapods at asda

Yeah I bought one,I also want to attach the camera to my bike for some action shots on there as well, attaching it to the rear of the bike near the exhaust, should be interesting if nothing else.
