Hold mine no problem but they are not as heavy as some DSLRs on the market. Not used it with long telephoto lens, well you wouldn't would you but for close work they are fine and it is surprising what you can fix your camera too.

Re: Joby Gorillapods at asda

They have been this price for months, I bought one in Autumn at Asda. It's a bit touch and go if they hold a DSLR or not. It just about supported my D70 with the 18-70 zoom and it was ok if you could wrap it around somethinglike a rock, but trying to use it as a 'stand up' mini tripod was a waste of time as it's too flexible. It was such a waste of time I rarely even take it out now, have never tried it on my heavier D300 and I've never taken a shot with it. I would recommend to move up the DSLR zoom (the next model up) for most people here *if you want one* or even a bean bag. The DSLR zoom model is considerably bigger and not on sale in Asda so at full price, around £45 you would be wise to look at the competion first as there are possibly better alternatives. Disappointing.
