Photoshop Problem

I will try and explain this the best I can. When I use to crop a photo or picture I would click the crop icon on the toolbar down the left, that would let me then drag the cursor to any shape to crop, are you still with me . Anyway the last two day when I will click the icon, but it will now only let me crop squares. I have most likely clicked something by mistake but cant find what, can anyone help. I am using photoshop 7.

Thanks in advance
Phill

Re: Photoshop Problem

No, I dont think so anyway. The best way I can explain is on the windows desktop if you hold the left mouse button down and drag the highlight box can be square, rectangular, thin or wide. Now I use to be able to do this within photoshop to crop but now it will only crop squares.

Re: Photoshop Problem

Try right clicking the crop icon and see what options you get...

Thank you, it came up with a reset tool option which worked. Its a shame there is no rep button like on dogsey.

I still for the life think what I did how to make it go "wrong".

Re: Photoshop Problem

In the top bar, you might have put some crop sizes (W&H) in for a previous crop? Next time it happens click on clear or manually delete them
