Great Grey Owl

I only had my little compact camera with me today so I was happy with how this shot of a Great Grey Owl came out.

Jack - it's a Canon IXUS 80IS

The Owl was on a branch about 8 feet up so I stuck my arm up in the air and shot 'blind' with the little lens poked through the square mesh of the fence.

I don't think I've seen one of these owls before - they're certainly very striking.

The others we saw today were European Eagle Owls, Snowy Owls & Barn Owls.
