Re: More Squirrels!

It's better Yes

Do you use Photoshop? If so look for the Menu 'Filter' then scroll down to Distort and select the 'Lens Correction' menu. In there is a control to increase or decrease Vingnetting.

Alternatively just use the 'dodge' tool on the corners (Vignetting is where the corners of the image are darker than the middle of the image)

Re: More Squirrels!

I dont have Photoshop . I just have paint.net. I'll try and find a similar function on paint though. Thanks Alan edit; I've looked but cant find anything . Will the vignetting be a huge disadvantage?

Hello Polo

No, it will not be a huge disadvantage, vignetting is something that occurs in all lenses to a degree. Some are better than others. Some people actually like the effect of vignetting (especially when trying to recreate period looking images)

I have removed most of the vignetting and increased the contrast (this does give the impression of increased detail also).

Alan.

Re: More Squirrels!

Glad you like it Polo

Taking photos is one thing, but editing them is another skill, and one not to be underestimated. While we would all like to pull the images from our cameras and print them, this sadly rarely happens. Limitations in equipment, the weather, accessability etc all affect how our images look, and in many cases these limitations can be overcome with software

All the best,
Alan.
