Cheeky Duck

I was playing around more yesterday with full zoom and manual/speed and app.

I find full zoom tricky at times hand held. I knelt down and used a tree as support on this one.

Re: Cheeky Duck

It's a little noisy? High ISO? I do like it though, it's sharp, and that's half the battle!

Yes Z. It was noisy. A main road is right next to the pond

ISO was probably on auto

I can only guess that it was a very sunny day and that pond is covered by trees and bushes...... Also, I think my lens has a lot to answer for. It seems to make things to blue, green etc.

Re: Cheeky Duck

Pond water this time of year is very often full of algae which will colour the water green plus as Skyline was saying, if the pond is surrounded by trees the water will reflect the green of the leaves.

Water, as we know, is colourless and only reflects the colour around it, hence a blue sea is the result of a blue sky but on a cloudy day the water will take on a greyish look.
