Re: Wade's bridge, Aberfeldy

Kristian - You could keep a UV filter on your lens all the time. It's still glass but it will protect the front of your lens from getting scratched if that's what you mean - better to have a cratched UV filter than lens.

We're often up at Kenmore & Aberfeldy as Karen is from Fearnan - just a mile or so along Loch Tay from Kenmore.

I've often thought the golf course bridge (poking up in the background under the main span of Wades bridge) would make a good subject. It's the world's first bridge made from plastic or something like that.
Thanks Phil. Yes, I remember passing by Fearnan and then Killin (or was it Killin first? and I thought mmmm FEARnan then KILLin, are we on the right road Killin was very nice , and I wished I had stopped for a while for some pics, as it had great looking waterfalls. After spending some time in Aberfeldy I decided to head towards Oban to catch the Sunset (wishfull thinking) but with over 20 miles to go, it started to rain, so I had to turn around and head back home. It really was a pity about the weather that day, as I love to drive up that way and see all the sights

Nicely done....off to see the HDR version

OH, by the way I found my way here via your site, thanks! Can not remember how I found your site..? Are you a member of POTN? That maybe it.

Another note to add, Do you like the 40D and would you buy it again....looking to upgrade to it as I can not afford the 5D at this time. Thanks.

Thanks bp Yes, I'm a member of POTN, but my visits there now are few and far between

I love the 40d bp and yes, I would buy it again if anything happened to this one. For me the big +'s of the 40d are, live view (excellent for tripod mounted shots, Astrophotography, landscapes) 6.5 fps (great for bird shots)
The improved auto focus (an improvment over the 400d) and, of course the build, and partial weather seal.

Re: Wade's bridge, Aberfeldy

Here is a slightly different version of the bridge. This one has "daylight" white balance added in DPP rather than cloudy, which gives it a colder look to the warmer looking first image.
