Thanks for the comments, these again were shot with the 18-200 mm VR, my normal lens till I get my 70-200 2.8

They are a beautiful bird the robin, was getting stalked by em for a while everytime I went out there was one there waiting to get photographed

I just love my 18-200 mm Azz, it's jut so versatile and no matter what i wanna take a pic of its sorted. No missing out on a landscape cause I've got a long lens on and vice versa. It's a little slow in lower light being only f/5.6 at 200mm but with the D300 can whack the iso up and its still good quality over a 1000 so makes up for it.

Next purchase will be the 70-200 mm 2.8 gonna save up for the nikkor and not go for the sigma version.
