Re: Caution...bee at work!

Beautiful set here Daisy. My one change would be to selectively add more detail to the bee in the first frame. Example:

18mm Fujinon
35mm Fujinon
60mm Fujinon
18-55 Fujinon
55-200mm Fujinon

Yes, Bob..I have been trying to do exactly that on photoshop Elements 8 for half an hour.

Can you tell me how you achieved it please?

Cheers!

Re: Caution...bee at work!

Duplicate the layer, in blend modes select screen, apply a mask and, using a black brush, paint away everything but the bee. Merge all layers. Repeat this procedure one more time to get the bee light enough to bring out detail. Merge all layers and you've got my edit. On the second pass I cut the black brush to 50% opacity to lighten the shadowed portion of the flower that needed some fill light. I hope you're able to do all this in Elements. I used CS5 Photoshop.

Re: Caution...bee at work!

I have Elements 8 and tried to accomplish the same thing. I didn't see any mask capability so I used the eraser between layers instead. It's much more tedious work. Here's a quick version edited by Elements. 8.

18mm Fujinon
35mm Fujinon
60mm Fujinon
18-55 Fujinon
55-200mm Fujinon
