A Solo Tulip

A local grocery store had these potted plants out front. We're in prime tulip time in Oregon so expect lots more in the coming weeks.

Re: A Solo Tulip

Oooh I like tulips! not that I have any in my garden - the kids would just pick them!

The focus seems to have fallen on the sides of the flower, I wonder if it would have been more pleasing if the focus had been on the closest part of the flower to us.
It appears OOF to me as its not until my eyes wander to the edges that I see the clarity.
I have never photographed tulips so I am just wondering outloud rather than criticising. Hope thats OK.

Re: A Solo Tulip

They do make great subjects and a welcome splash of colour after the winter we've had. Look forward to more over the coming weeks Bob.

I also picked up on the focus - the edges are sharp but the nearest part seems soft.
