Two from my back yard

Just to make a change from flowers I took a few of the birds in the dog yard - we had a Sparrow Hawk at the feeder today, macarbra but as nature intended and we try very hard not to be upset when we see a pile of feathers - as usual when something really interesting happens I am too interested to pick up the camera.

Here are two more peaceful garden visitors not as exciting as a hawk but very welcome

Re: Two from my back yard

Nice captures.

It's always nice to have the birds living in the garden especially when it becomes their nursery, but sad when you see a Sparrow-hawk take a young bird or parent that you have been watching each day as it gets fed by it attentive parents. This has hapened a few times now.
