Olympus SW1030

Hi all
Have bought this camera in the belief that it will be pretty much bomb proof.
I have one problem I could do with some help on which is this -
In the top menu section there are 7 sub menus, I can only access 4 of them. I'm unable to access "camera menu", "panorama" and "SCN".
If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong I would love their advice. All I can think of is that I'm using a fuji XD card not an Olympus one.
Thanks in advance, sorry I've not been on for ages. When I have had a chance to give the camera a good work out I will let you know what I think of it, so far it has only been in the fish tank lol

Re: Olympus SW1030

Don't know anything about the Olympus but is it possible that some of the menus only available if you have chosen a particular mode to shot in, like macro or AV?

Can you give us the names of the menus that are missing?

Re: Olympus SW1030

Hi, it's not a menu associated with a shooting mode.
The missing menus are just as I said in my first post, sub-menus of panorama, SCN & camera menu.
thanks

Re: Olympus SW1030

Sorry can't help then not knowing the camera, there must be people with Olympus experiance on here so may be someone will be along to help. I thought perhaps that the items listed may be only available under certain shooting choices but if that is not so may be there is a problem with the camera. Can you ask advice of the place you purchased it from?

No I don't either, think it is either badly written instructions or perhaps you have not had time to read them

Re: Olympus SW1030

Have just spoken to customer help, not sure it was that much help but he tells me that the camera is faulty.

Hi Azz, long time no hear
I only got the camera on Tuesday.
I turns out that customer help was no help in fact!!
There isn't anything wrong with the camera it just needed its selection dial in a different position.
The one function of panorama isn't available if you don't have an Olympus XD card !!
