Jago Hunting

A picture taken recently of Jago out beating. He loves hunting and has a terrific nose.

Difficult to capture him on beat days as he is usually deep in cover and all you see is the bushes etc shaking has he storms through them

Nice action shot, Steve!
Please help me out here (and please excuse my ignorance!!) What kind of dog is he? He looks like a type of spaniel, but looks bigger and with different markings from any I have seen.

You're not the only person to be confused as t what he is

Today I was asked what cross he was "looks like he has some spaniel in him"

He's a Clumber spaniel Have a look here http://www.clumberspaniels.eu/index.html

They are the largest of the spaniel breed and sadly are on the vulnerable breeds list at the Kennel Club.

Re: Jago Hunting

Super shot Steve.

I've not had a great deal of contact with Clumbers but the Spaniel 'enthusiasm' is there for all to see.
