Yep, I just read this due to your "bump" Skyline and I found it helpful and encouraging. Good for beginners.

Sounds ok to read the manual, but have you studied the Nikon ones? You have to keep going backward and forewards several times to different pages just to read one item. Of course we all know how fiendishly devilish and crafty japanese are () . By the time you have done this hundreds of times to get through it all you have forgotten where you started so you have to go through the whole proceedure again.
