Re: Common Characters.

I'm not a bird person, although I like, feed & water them in our back garden. But when I see pictures like these it makes me really appreciate there beauty and wonderment.

Lovely shots Brian, enjoyed looking, thanks.

Re: Common Characters.

Oh I love them all!! The first though is my favorite! Tree Sparrows are the most common bird in my area and for the past month or so it's the only bird that seems to come around my feeder, but this morning I was very happy to see a black chickadee at my feeder! So hopefully my year around birds, and winter birds will be coming back to feed in my yard!

Re: Common Characters.

Thanks Ken, it was seeing a photo of a common bird that got me interested in photography, a digiscoped shot of a Dunnock (Hedge Sparrow), it was so full of detail that the naked eye could not see.

Katie glad to hear your Tree sparrows are thriving, due to loss of habitat ours are in decline, but concentrated efforts at a couple of local sites have improved their numbers.

thank you both for taking time o look and comment.

regards brian.

Re: Common Characters.

I was about to say I wouldn't call Tree Sparrows common - but they have been well covered already! XD

Lovely set of shots - nothing better than a few regular visitors - and my absolute favourite birds after ducks are passerines <3

Re: Common Characters.

Wonderful set Mossy. I love the way the robin is looking straight at you.

I'm still waiting for life to come back to my garden. There really hasn't been much about.
