Photo manipulation

Not something i do, but ive had the odd attempt.

Gosforth park NR. HDR from a single image.

A few years back a self image to illustrate the song lyrics , Hurt by Nine Inch Nails, but first heard performed by Johnny Cash.

Heres a link to the video, a very moving performance. Apologies if his is not allowed.

Fly Agaric, again a HDR from a single image.

Re: Photo manipulation

Hi Brian, I tend to favor the HDR shot that look natural as in your fist picture.

I have the Johnny Cash, "Hurt" track on one of the compilation CD I listen to in the car.

I like the last shot, for some reason the PP and colour tones remind me of the days when I used to develop my own Ektachrome E-6 slides.

Thanks Ken for looking, i have a couple of CD`s of Johnny Cash, the American recording series, bought on the strength of the Hurt track, recordings of modern and classics songs, not my usual music as i like experimental electronic music.

As for P&P on photos, its usually a matter of crop, shadows and highlights, resize and sharpen for me non of that fancy layers stuff, makes my brain hurt.

Re: Photo manipulation

I like the nice subtle treatment in the first shot - very good.

The self portarit is good - hope you don't mind me saying - you remind me a bit of Graham Gooch.

As for the fly agaric - I also prefer the original shot although the edit works well too.
