Re: Day Tripper

Cant help with the ID there are loads of shrooms and many look the same. They do make wonderful subjects and can be challenging to photograph.

Im never keen on getting down on the ground these days, might not get up again

Re: Day Tripper

Majority of mushrooms and fungi so difficult to identify, like Brian said lots of Mush`s that look the same, and with around 1.5million species its anybodies guess as to what these two are. Like the 2nd Cakey The 1st one looks like ones we have growing in the garden. Do not think they are Liberty Caps as most LCs have a dark nipple (Brown or Black) and have a more pointy head and your image and the ones that grow in my garden have a pale nipple.
We have at least 2 species of mushroom growing in the garden at the moment, will have to photograph them next time i see them pop out.

Re: Day Tripper

Really like the first shot - it has a kind of 'Land of the Giants' feel to it.

I had a quick look in my field guide book but drew a blank regarding an ID on number two.
