Taken at the 2009 MX-5 Owners Club National Rally at Mallory Park race track.

You do some good shots Ken on top quality equipment, but this is not really saying anything...

I was going to say I actually really like it - it's different! I do think that more of the background in focus might have been an idea, so we can see *roughly* what type of car they are, that would show that it wasn't just a cluster of mushrooms in front of a car park!

I think it says that sometimes the humble things are more important to focus our gaze upon than the flashy.

Great idea, and well spotted, and gorgeous bokeh, the sun hitting the cars, gives a nice light just goes to show you have look down sometimes. I might be tempted to lose the majorityof the sky , so you end up with more of a letterbox shaped composition, does that make sense?

In answer to BC thoughts: It's a valid point, because what was on my mind at the time were the two very contrasting situations. The busy hustle & bustle of the race meeting with all its dusty gravel car parks, and tarmac race track, then there like a watery oasis in a desert, was this lovely little spot of shaded grass with these lovely toadstools.

I think it's an interesting shot, looks like the mushrooms are spectators.
