Pensive moment

Nice capture there Gav only a couple of things I would point out! maybe (for me) the subject is a bit to central? also I would have pulled out a little to give the feeling of solitude, clone that thing out on the right side above the rock, and have you tried altering the colours? To see which style best fit’s the mood you are trying to convey?

Love the colours,and his expression, the light and the shadow. Maybe,crop part of the left,so he is off centre more, but it is great portrait. I really like it xxx

Finbar, thanks for the feedback, it was very helpful. It was one of those candid moments where I had to shoot without the subject being aware of me and my camera. This presented some limitations in terms of composition. However, I think that your comments will go a long way to improving the final image

Azz, I think your edit has desaturated his face a little too much (at least on my monitor anyway). I have also had another go at the post editing....
