If not that is a great way to achieve greater depth top and bottom as you dont lose so much in the crop because of the less extreme curvature of the total images lined up.

I'd like to have a go at a few more panoramas myself.
Hi Jack,

Yes I did take the photos in 'portrait' mode, my panorama bracket only allows me to do this (it's home made) but that is ok because as you say, it increases the height of the shot, although it does mean I have to take more shots. The bracket does however reduce/remove parallax errors on wider lenses, and thus makes the stitching more accurate.

I stitched a 44 shot panorama last night, ended up with a 900 Mega Pixel image lol, I really want to do some more now

Panoramas, even if it is just 2 or 3 shots, are a really great way to get much more impressive landscape shots, as you can portray images that the eye normally can not take in.

Re: Leeds Castle Panorama

Just a rude question from me Do you think you could write a basic tutorial for us one day? I'd love to do something like this, and haven't the first idea how - I will look for tutorials online, but I'm very impressed with this shot of yours and would love to know how you did it!

Shouldn't be a problem Zoundz, it's fairly simple, but like most things there are some traps you can fall in to

The software I use is free too So no issues there either.

I will put something together, watch this this space
