Re: Red Chair project

4 posts since May, joined to plug his site then!

I liked some of the images, however I disagree with some parts of the statement.

Quote:
People choose their clothing like a mask they wear to portray a role to the rest of the world.
Beneath the façade, we are very similar, with the same wants, needs, doubts and desires.

My “Red Chair Project” is about casting away the stereotypes of the material world and show people for who they really are.
I for one do not chose my clothing 'like a mask to portray a role to the rest of the world' I chose my clothing to be practical and comforable.

Are we similar? if you break it down to eating, sleeping, living and dying then yes, past that?

How does nudity cast away the stereotypes of the material world and show people what they really are? If you are a murderer then you are a murderer dressed and naked, if you are a banker, you are a banker dressed or naked. If you are black, white, catholic, muslim, jedi, male or female, your clothing changes none of that.

Nice project, some good images but feeble framework for doing the project.

Alan.
