Re: My dog

Fantastic photo - he's gorgeous

CM, which finepix do you have?

I have a finepix too - the A405 - first digital camera I've ever had and was given it as a present a few years ago now.

I can't ever get photos as good as that and I don't really understand the settings on it! I'm starting to get better shots (less blurred at least!) since Lorna showed me how to focus it by holding down the capture button half way

BTW - question to anyone: is there anywhere I can read what the settings on my camera actually do and how to use them? I'm very much a point and shoot photographer at the moment and get a mixture of absolute atrocious photos and some relatively decent ones

Re: My dog

Not from a photographer's point of view (cos I aint one!) but I personally prefer the 1st photo.

It looks more natural as opposed to him looking at you plus I tend to prefer profile shots of animals.
