Mono or Monochrome Myra is a single colour in different shades 
although some people refer to mono as black and white

Usually when people say Mono too, they are showing their age
. As the old Black and white televisions are referred to as Monochrome TV`s. I think the last time they were sold was the late 70`s, early 80`s I know i owned a 14inch portable mono TV for 30 years.
