Re: An English summer barn wedding

Excellent work RH. (I guess you are the same RH from the D..F...ms?) Like the excellent crisp quality. Can I ask, what is the general technique in Photoshop or whatever used here to 1) make the pics look so vibrant and sharp and then 2) the 'vignetting effect' that high-lights areas of interest and darkens down the less relevant?

BC, to go out on a limb, im guessing not much pp work has been done to sharpen them. The 24-70mm is tack sharp. A beautiful lens which is on my "i want it now" list!

Another beautiful series Guy. Its great to see a pro wedding photographer here. Ill look forward to picking your brains

Kanikula is right (and yes, I am the same RH ). Much of it is the outrageous quality of the Nikkor 24-70mm. Every time I come away from a wedding using that lens I'm knocked out by it. I just can't find a weakness anywhere. Combine it with the accuracy of the D3's focus and it's eye-wateringly sharp.

Perversely I then often add a vignette in Lightroom 2. My PP is generally limited to a crop if required, a vignette and a mono conversion if appropriate. Again, the accuracy of the D3's metering saves me hours in post now.
