A few HDR's from my 40d

Just messing around with some old images taken with my 40d, none of which I have posted before. As I shoot in RAW mode only, these were easy to duplicate additional +,- exposures for HDR.

1)Taken at Loch Lomond

2)Inveraray

3)West coast

4)Near Campbeltown

5)Horse

6)

Re: A few HDR's from my 40d

These are lovely, the feeling of peace and quite, it may not have been but looking at your shots I can hear the click of the shutter. Have to say these are only the second examples of HDR that I have really liked, if we could have one or two of the originals we would be in a position to really understand what difference the HDR has made. The only other I found memorable was a shot of a motorcycle but unfortunate I can't remember who posted it.

Here are uncooked screen captures of them all. As you can see, most of them have benefited from combined multiple exposures (except for the night shot, which I intended to look that way, but wanted to try HDR to bring out the green grass) that otherwise would have been failed, unimpressive ordinary shots ready for the recycle bin. I never go out my way to shoot HDR (multiple exposures) but it's worth hanging on to single exposures (RAW) that have not worked out the way you hoped for, then you can play around with them and make something out of nothing

Re: A few HDR's from my 40d

Wow, it has made a huge difference, the Inveraray and the night shot are improved beyond measure and all the others show more definition and vibrancy. Thank you for that I will try it myself one day when I have the confidence.
