Hi Grant,

Lovely shots, especially the Red Kites...

Have you been to the Red Kite centre in Doune?

Grant, these bird shots are absolutely stunning. Just how long does it take to get some of these wonderful captures in terms of waiting for the right moment?

Thanks Daisy Yes, I have been to Argatty near Doune a few times but prefer seeing the kites at Bellymack farm in dumfrieshire as you are free to wander around and do not have to sit in a hide like you do at Argatty. The birds at Argatty have huge wing tags as well, unlike Bellymack which have small tags, there are also some without tags. Bellymack is half the cost of Argatty admission too.

Thanks Ken. If the light is good and there are plenty birds about near the feeders then it won't take very long for me to capture one in flight (especially Chaffinches) but some days you can sit in the hide for hours and not see many birds at all, especially this time of year when it can be very quiet for sometime before they have there young.
