Re: Veteran

Love that first image Bob.

From a technical point of view - spot on for me.

From a 'picture' point of view - superb. The hat, the bit of the Stars and Stripes, the nose tubes, those eyes - all add up to make a fantasic shot.

They do say a picture tells a thousand words.

An aside.....

I have a relative over in the US. My Dad's second cousin or something - only ever met him once and that was probably 20 years ago. Anyway - he lived in Michigan and was some big cheese in Dow Chemicals, one of the companies involved in Agent Orange lawsuits. Last I heard he'd gone from the sublime to the ridiculous and was into some fairly heavy eco preservation work in Seattle.

Re: Veteran

It's good to hear Phil that someone involved with Agent Orange is now helping to make the world a better place.

I can't sleep so I'll tell you a funny tale Bob.

This relative (can't for the life of me remember his first name) came over with his family for a 'whistle stop tour' of the UK or Great Britain....

He was writing a book about his family tree - my grandparents met him and I think a lot of info went his way to help him find his roots.

2 years later my dad was informed of a package from the US - something he'd been expecting - the draft copy of 'the book'. Customs had held it due to un paid postage and for whatever reason needed about 100 GBP to release the package.

Keen to inspect the draft my Dad paid the fee. Inside the box was 3 household cleaning sprays - a gift from Dow
