How to find AE Lock on 350D?

I don't know whether it's just me being abit thick, or whether the 350D doesn't have it, but does anyone know where to find the AE Lock? I've looked through all the menus and the manual, so maybe I have missed it, but it's really starting to bug me

This might help, what I found googling!

That AE Lock button (*) - it's annoying. I am constantly hitting the darn thing because it's RIGHT where the thumb rests.

I have yet to find a way of deactivating it after it's been pushed. I usually have to turn the camera on off but that's kind of a pain.

Does anyone know if there's a way of disabling that button entirely - or even to deactivate it after activating it by accident - other than by turning the camera on and off?

On most Canons, if you change the shooting mode on the mode dial that resets all functions like exp lock, etc. So changing to a different mode and then back again should clear the exp lock
