Hi Bazza

Not sure about the weight loads on other Slik heads although most loads are stated based on the head & leg combination.

The Slik head is not being used at the moment as (having one arm) I'm using my Manfrotto 322RC2 grip. Being a 'grip' it's max weight capacity is not as high as the Slik head but it's fine for most things.

The centre column does not swing sideways it just drops out so legs can be splayed flat.
