It looks like SKY are dipping their toe into the 3 Dimensional water and are investing in some new equipment for broadcasting Live events.

Also, if anyone hasn't seen anything from the new 3D movie Avatar due out on December 18th, here is a 2 minute clip from the movie. It's only in 2D, but it gives you an idea of where technology is at the moment in the film industry, and it's gonna look absolutely stunning in High Definition Immersive 3D.

I should point out that it's quite an intense scene, not scary, just very dramatic, so all you sensitive types out there...you've been warned

Also, everything you see in the scene is computer generated: every leaf, branch, drop of water....EVERYTHING!

It may take a moment or two to download, but it's worth it.
