My defective MB-D11 grip in the mail
After experimenting with everything I know I've come to the conclusion that I received a defective MB-D11 grip for my D7000. The grip shutter button does not focus the camera as it should. There's never a focus lock. I called B&H camera and received an RMA(Return Material Authorization) from them to exchange the unit for a new one. Stuuf does come faulty from any production line so it's not a big hassle considering how good B&H is about returns.
