Bridge in Glen Affric

Came home with a camera full of 'blue' photographs that had 'gone wrong'. I tried getting the colour back but just couldn't seem to get them looking natural so I tried to rescue a few by turning them black and white.

attempted b&w rescue

I think the B&W is stunning , I've never seen anything done blue before and not really sure if I like it or not (sorry), I'd probably have to see or do a load more before I can make up my mind

Re: Bridge in Glen Affric

The blue effect wasn't intentional. Something wasn't set right on my camera. I had about 20 or so shots that went wrong like this. The b & w one was just what I managed to turn it into.

Re: Bridge in Glen Affric

Oh, so it wasn't a setting on your camera, on mine I have a setting for vivid blue, along with green, red, sepia b&w and so on, it wasnt one of those then, pity I was going to go outside and play

Do you still have the EXIF data for that photo? I unintentionally captured shots with a blue hue before and realised I had left the WB on Tungsten lighting

I actually rather like the blue effect myself - you can pick out the detail on the underside of the bridge which isn't there in the B&W shot (the B&W shot is great though - that is the type of shot I like to take in B&W).

Again, great composition
