Sigma 18-50 f2.8 (Nikon mount)

Quite impressed with this lens, going by the examples I have seen.

Here are some awesome photos taken with it and the D80:









All taken at f2.8.

For comparison, here's one taken with the D300 and 24-70 f2.8 Nikkor:

I know we'd really need to see the images full size, but from that and comments/reviews I've heard about the lens, it seems like a lot of bang for your buck!... so I am thinking about getting it as flip knows when I'll be able to afford the Nikkor ones

I borowed the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 from a doctor at work! and WOW what a lens!! I 'll post some of the pics I've taken with it as soon as I get a chance! I have to have one!!!

You sure do get a lot of bang for you buck with Sigma/Tamron!

Considering they are third party, Sigma lenses are fantastic and well worth every penny! I think they can quite often be over looked in favour of first brands such as Nikon Canon ect.
