Re: Photographers Rights

I would humble suggest that posting a link on a forum and then asking people to not comment is ..erm ....well, pointless

I emailed the BBC as we were stopped the other day whilst taking pics of a power station

Re: Photographers Rights

No riot but how about a mass debate instead?

Re: Photographers Rights

Agree with the whole sentiment in that piece!!! I would be extremely annoyed if I was treated in that manner.

The funny thing is you get all these 'cops' programs and when the people getting filmed say "tell them to stop filming" they are quick to say, "He's allowed to film whatever he wants in the public domain".

As the article says, it's down to informing _all_ officers about the law, and our rights as photographers. I'm guessing its down to senior officers to make sure the people under their command know what's what.

Agree with Mel - don't post on a forum if you don't want replies. The whole point of a discussion forum is to... discuss (the only exceptions are usualy personal threads, like in Your Photos sections)

Don't be cross.

We have covered this at length and it did nearly get out of hand.

I just thought it made a good read.

Re: Photographers Rights

She's not cross Jols, just explaining that generally anything posted on a forum is up for discussion.

This topic is about photographers and the police.

Bazza... cos it's off-topic
