Do Dragonflys sting?

I think these little creatures are so beautiful... but I'm so scared I will get stung!

I don't think I have a phobia, but anything that barely resembles a needle makes me want to run!

I would love to take some photos of a few..

Re: Do Dragonflys sting?

No I think they are totally harmless, good luck trying to capture one, they move so quick.

I have visions of Azz stalking dragonflys ,dressed in a protective suit like bee keepers wear

Dragonflys are wonderful creatures - I found a couple of obliging ones last year but even then I couldn't get too close for fear of them flying off

Re: Do Dragonflys sting?

No I think you are going to be safe

They are beautiful, I look forward to seeing your pics then

I am allergic to wasps so I have to be really careful with them in the summer.

Excellent Melody, the detail is superb, is that using a special macro lens?
