How long ago did you get yours Ste?
I think everywhere else is at least 1050, unless you buy an import :-/

Got it at the end of December, so had 3 months of fun so I don't really mind the price drop.
D200 is a cracker and well worth the outlay.

That's not bad then really.
I will see how things are closer the summer, as that's when I will make most use of the camera
D80 body = £500 ish
D200 body = £649
So prob worth the extra £150
Interested to see if they replace the D80 - could be nice!
D300 = £999 !! (but it is stunning!)

Although I think there is a tangible difference in IQ with the D300... I really like it, it's just too damn expensive

I almost bought the D300 a month or so ago, but it was a fair bit more than £999. My budget allowed for the body and one kit lens, which was very tempting, but I knew it would be a while before I could afford to add to the kit, so I opted instead for the Sony A700, and managed to get 2 good lenses, Flash, Battery Grip with 2 spare batteries, 8G CF card, Lowepro camera bag and Manfrotto Monopod for practically the same price.
