If......

If I gave you a budget of £1500 - what would be on your photographic shopping list? ....and why?

Re: If......

I'd like a nice wide angle lens for landscape photography

Why ? - just because 10 or 12mm can add so much impact.

Re: If......

Well I want to upgrade , and I am trying to decide between a Canon 40D and a 50D.

So it would be one of those bodies and a lens or two.

Re: If......

Think I would go for lens, as wide as possible, a telephoto may be 400mm or even 500mm and then of course I would need a better tripod and head and STOP! I could go on forever.

Re: If......

I wouldn't buy anything. I have what I want & need with my present Nikon D40X & two zoom lenses. I have a good flash, tripod & carrying bag. You'd be hard pressed proving additional equipment would make for better photos.

I might use some of the money to get me to a location to take photos that interest me, gas for the old motorcycle for example. Education is always valuable. The online courses I take on Photoshop Elements would be an example of money well spent.

Personally I hate waisting money just for the sake of getting more "stuff" so I have enough goodies to tote around now, thank you.

Re: If......

Me too Bob, there is nothing I have my eye on at the moment.

Us 40x owners are a happy lot.

Re: If......

A new f2.8 lens

Because I want to see how far this D300 goes

If I was selling my photography, then that would be even more important - although I would consider a full frame body in that case.
