Re: Lightroom nightmare

Mmm I don't know I find Lightroom fast and efficient

KK would be the best person to ask for help. there are also several Lightroom groups on Flickr, you could try there.

Steve uses Lightroom he might have an idea.

Perhaps if you typed what you did step by step, I know it is a pain......

But, one of us may be able to help then!

Re: Lightroom nightmare

That does seem slow, but i tend to do several things at once, so haven't really paid attention to how long it takes, remember your card speed can alter how long it takes to upload too.

Re: Lightroom nightmare

The way you have Lightroom set up can effect upload speeds. If it is set up to generate full size previews then it can slow to snails pace.

The preview settings can be set in "file - Catalogue settings" .

Re: Lightroom nightmare

Hi Jols, I just did a quick test. I imported 80 RAW files (canon 40d) at 1.06GB in total size, which took exactly 44 seconds. Your total file size for your RAW files are about 770mb and to take 10mins to import, can only mean your computer is not up to the task.
You will have to limit the number of RAW images you import untill you upgrade your pc.

Canon 70-200mm f4.0 L
