Re: Some more birds...

Look at those starling waiting to attack someones feeder

Is no2 a little dull colour wise or is it my screen?

Some lovely shots but I do like the Reed Bunting and Heron the best.

Re: Some more birds...

Thanks all! Skyline - you're right - number 2 needs another tweak, it was an odd sort of day light wise by that point - we had nice light - but it was overcast, so there were some odd shadows, and it made everything look bright, but dark if that makes sense... so it doesn't look dull as such, but dark - and it does need some level tweaking

Thanks Brian - I loved watchign them do their thing - they were so funny <3

Re: Some more birds...

What a wonderful set Laura, i love the ones of the Chiffchaff, well love them all although the Chiffchaff stands out for me.......

***Cakey......Shags are marine birds and cormorants are more widespread and seen over different types of waters, or visa versa, cannot remember

Re: Some more birds...

Thanks! Yes Ken, I'm happy with it. I think generally the Sigma 50-500 is probably the better lens (at least, newer models would be!) but mine is old and past it and a bit battered. Will see if I can get it conditioned though. This lens is far superior for me anyway, and it's lighter!

Shags are similar to cormorants Cakey, though mostly found out at sea, usually have an interesting little crest on their heads, are more 'black' and much smaller.
