Lenses, help/advice please

I ordered a few lenses for my camera and they've arrived today , one lot has a +10 macro lens, and 3 close up lenses and +1D, +2D and a +4D, does anyone know the difference between a macro lens and a close up lens.

I also got a UV lens and a cpl lens, I think the cpl is a polarizing lens, I get what thats for and when to use it, but what would I use the UV lens for?

Google on Dioptre for the +1 +2 etc ones ..they are what I use sometimes but you can end up with a very narrow DoF and you get on better with a ring flash

Re: Lenses, help/advice please

I keep the UV (Ultra Violet) lens on all the time, not only does it cut out UV rays, cuts out any haze basically, but can also be used as a lens protecter.
