Re: Spike Island - band shots (Broken Remnants)

No. If I use Lightroom I edit things like the eyes in photoshop later. I only use Lightroom for general work and not my studio stuff as 9 out 10 times I can't create what I want with LR.

Re: Spike Island - band shots (Broken Remnants)

I'm starting to find that myself too there's much I can do with it, but I do prefer using CS3 for a few things, cloning for one, which is *awful* in LR! Will go back over these at some stage and have a go at redoing the eyes thanks again! much appreciated!

Re: Spike Island - band shots (Broken Remnants)

Your welcome. You may know this but when you retouch I don't just use the clone tool, it has to be a mixture to make it work better ie dodge and burn tools, clone and healing brush and so on.

Re: Spike Island - band shots (Broken Remnants)

Jonni, Laura I really must do a course of some sort to get more of a grip on what I can do to shots. Much of what you say is currently going over my head. I need more time to do all the things I want to do. One day I'll have a clue about what you are talking about.

Re: Spike Island - band shots (Broken Remnants)

Yes Jonni, slowly, and by degrees, I worked that out! When I first started using PS about 4-5 years ago I could barely clone a dust spot from the sky! The healing brush especially is my good friend!

Richard, just practice away! Look up online tutorials and just play about (make sure you keep the original images untouched of course in case you screw up!), because I think the best way to learn is just having a play until you're happy!
