Alligator looking at Me!

I like watching gators! I do stay in my car though as they can move very fast and are unpredictable. It is a good day for me when I see at least one. These are up in the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge, Fl. My favorite place to go on Sundays..also love Merritt Island but so much traffic that I wait for my Sis to drive me there. Here is one even closer..

Sometimes they are on the road and just have to wait until they decide to move...hugs, Shirley

Re: Alligator looking at Me!

Love the last one, huge fan of Alligators, think they are much misunderstood, and are amazing. I love watching them. Thanks for sharing x

Re: Alligator looking at Me!

Great snap ! - I'll get my coat.

Second one is my favourite although it's a shame (depending on your bravery) that it's facing away from you.

Re: Alligator looking at Me!

Second one is good. Not something I would like to come face to face with

Re: Alligator looking at Me!

The first guy was out in a pond where I had stopped to eat my lunch...he kept a close eye on me.
The second one was on the road but moved off when I stopped...I did get out and took the photo from behind my car, just as he dove into the water ahead of him with a big splash...usually they slide off the banks into the water almost silently. Look close and a bit of the road shows at the bottom. Turtles make loud splashes!
Thanks for looking! Hugs, Shirley

Re: Alligator looking at Me!

You live in such a fascinating place for wildlife <3 I like the second shot, though as Phil says, would be better if he was facing you.

Re: Alligator looking at Me!

Zoundz, if this one was looking at me, I would not have gotten the picture! They are lightning fast when they want to be. I was standing behind my car, I doubt it saw me. hugs, Shirley
