another light meter ?

sorry guys if i am boring you all ridged but at the moment i am obsessed with lighting.

KK has sorted out my in camera problems but i am still thinking about buying a light meter.

I've seen a couple of digital ones on ebay for around 20 pounds which is fine.

my question is when i read the reading how do i know what to set my camera too?

is there a chart i can follow til i get used to it?

again sorry to be obsessed with this but lighting is my big bug bear.

love you all for your patience
