Re: Waiting tables.

This is so clear and sharp, busy with an ace sky and the steeples look ace in it, but there is one little thing that nit picks me. I want the people to be facing me.

Please don't hate me

Re: Waiting tables.

The HDR looks subtle enough Sharon, not OTT like my attempts

Re: Waiting tables.

Of course I don't hate you ye big lummox!

It's an unusual nit pick though. Some of the people sat at tables are facing you and the rest were bustling about taking orders or coming and going from the bar. I wanted to capture that sense of 'busy' I would have been kinda worried if they'd suddenly stopped what they werte doing, turned and faced me. In fact I would probably have required fresh underwear.

What I was expecting on this was some pro or anti comment on the HDRish, tonal mapping thingy I used. First attempt at this kind of treatment and was using Topaz. I quite like it but am not sure yet if I want to shell out for the pay version.

Fun experimenting though.

Re: Waiting tables.

Thanks Mark. I deliberately kept the tones quite cool with bluey lavender shades to avoid the 'overcooked' look.

It is very easy to overdo it....perhaps we have to do so in order to establish the boundaries of what works.

Re: Waiting tables.

Not looking at the camera, facing it. I know it's impossible as it's real life and I'm an odd nit picker. Don't listen to me. I haven't a clue what I'm on about hahahaha

Re: Waiting tables.

I think it's is in the nature of bench seating that half the people will have their backs to you Dave.

Next time I will drop a glass...or shout 'who dropped this 50 quid note?'

.....and of course you know what you are talking about...mostly!
