W/A Lens & Dogs Don't Mix?

I have often heard people say that wide angle lenses are only landscape tool.

Well I often stick a w/a zoom on the 5D mkII when going out with one of the dogs and am quite often pleasantly surprised at the results.

This was taken at the longer end of the 17-40mm but goes to show one does not need to have a huge beast of 300mm f2.8 lens to get good images of a dog.

You must be very flexible Steve

It's a great shot from your 17-40L, I'm going to add that lens to my collection at some point.

Re: W/A Lens & Dogs Don't Mix?

Cheers Guys

I do like to get low when taking shots of the dogs hence the reason my trousers are always dirty around the knees.

The 17-40mm lens is a great lens. When I first got it I was a little doubtful as to how much I would use it as I do not do a lot of landscape photography but I have found plenty of other uses for it.
